It’s definitely used a lot on the internet as an example of transphobia in media. I think the image of Ace Ventura is pretty divorced from the movies though.

Michel Hazanavicius has begun production on his next film Z (comme Z), a remake of 2017 Japanese zombie movie One Cut of the Dead starring Romain Duris and Bérénice Bejo

I don't like One Cut and cannot see a world in which a Hazanavicius remake improves upon it
