It's unlikely to be Malle, as all of his bigger titles are tied up with Artificial Eye in the UK and Criterion in the US. They'd only really be able to get Le voleur and Viva Maria for the UK, unless Paramount licenced out Atlantic City and Pretty Baby.therewillbeblus wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 6:19 pmEither of those would be a dream, but I could also see Louis Malle or Lucrecia Martel

Martel's certainly possible though.
It's surprising how Moodysson's films have dropped off the radar since We Are the Best!. He was one of the most visible contemporary directors in the high street 'world cinema' section when I was growing up in the 00s and, yet, his films have now been OOP in the UK for a full decade.
By contrast, I'm not sure any of Moullet's films have ever had a commercial release here (and I'm struggling to find any evidence of a screening, but I'm sure one must have happened). A box set would be relatively straightforward to put together, but seeing as he owns his films himself I don't think they've benefitted from a restoration that they surely would have if owned by one of the bigger French studios. It would be nice to see them restored and released again within his lifetime.
