Very quick point regarding price differences for 2K vs 4K scan : I've just had the answer from Eclair and at their lab, a 4K scan is 15% more expensive than a 2K one for a given movie.

---
We're not sure where you got your information, but 4K scans usually cost twice as much as 2K scans and sometimes more. If this is true, we will contact this company as see if we could set an account with them at these rates.

We will start posting updates an announcements here like we do on two other forums.

I'll consider Nixon if they manage to include both the theatrical and extended cuts of the movie. Otherwise, I'm still fine holding to my current Blu-ray.

The general’s daughter (Arlene Dahl, Journey to the Center of the Earth) tries to break her father’s will in order to control the estate and stop the creation of a group of free medical clinics for the poor to be overseen by Carlos. The true culprits behind her opposition are her fiancé, Harvey Bristol (John Sutton, Jane Eyre), and his father, Dr. Bristol (Francis L. A plague outbreak in Savannah complicates matters further in Sangaree, the first three-dimensional film in Technicolor, directed by Hollywood veteran Edward Ludwig (Big Jim McLain).

Trapeze (1956) with optional English subtitles
• Audio Commentary by Film Historian Kat Ellinger
• Trailers for Trapeze, Elmer Gantry, Taras Bulba, Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell

Screen icons Burt Lancaster (Elmer Gantry), Tony Curtis (The Vikings) and Gina Lollobrigida (Woman of Straw) form a troubled love triangle in the realistic, suspenseful film shot in the actual Cirque d’Hiver in Paris. Young American acrobat Tino Orsini (Curtis) is an aspiring trapeze artist who comes to Paris in search of Mike Ribble (Lancaster), a former aerialist who has retired after injuring himself attempting a triple somersault. Mike agrees to teach Tino the triple after circus performer Rosa O’Flynn (Katy Jurado, One-Eyed Jacks) convinces him to stop feeling sorry for himself and try to recapture some of the fame that eluded him. But when two men both fall in love with the beautiful Lola (Lollobrigida) – who uses them both to further her own ambitions – the triangle threatens the dreams of them all. Trapeze, directed by the great Carol Reed (The Third Man, The Fallen Idol) is highlighted by great performances and high drama, and all the actors performed most of their own stunts (Lancaster had previously been an acrobat in real life). Two of the film’s best features are the terrific Scope photography by Robert Krasker (El Cid, Brief Encounter) and the hauntingly beautiful score by Malcolm Arnold (The Bridge on the River Kwai). The wonderful Thomas Gomez (Key Largo) co-stars in this classic romantic drama.

Found out a little more about the Universal deal: Kino has licensed 100 titles with the earliest coming from 1932 and the most recent coming from 2009. Sadly, no Universal silents are part of the deal but the possibility that the pre-1948 Paramount catalog is part of the titles helps offset the disappointment; gotta take the bitter with the sweet.

Oh thank god! Universal has WAY too many great films sitting in their library that have never even seen DVD releases. If Kino can drop Play It As It Lays, Portrait of a Downfall Child, Diary of a Mad Housewife, Hellzapoppin’, of any number of these lingering titles I’ll snap them up in a heartbeat.

Not even the new restoration of THE MAN WHO LAUGHS, the unrestored version of which Kino released some years back? Or is that part of another Kino/Universal deal?
