Can anyone report on these screenings of MAN'S CASTLE, listed as running 75 minutes?
It seems unlikely and program notes make no mention of completeness or versions, nor is there any archive noted as sourcing the print. Then again, it was introduced by Hervé Dumont...
Someone please confirm this as true!

The print was from Cinémathèque de la Ville du Luxembourg, with burned-in French subtitles. Hervé Dumont explained that different versions have different scenes included, and Sony is still trying to restore a complete version. The screened print surely was longer than most other versions, and in fact Italian subtitles were translated from another print and had some scenes un-translated. For example, I remember Tracy and Young having bath without clothes, with a couple of pretty explicit shots.
