I liked this movie and was glad for the closure (or quasi-closure, since there are book sequels)

Hence finding it a little unusual that they'd want to keep doing this every 5 years or so. Seems like the movie was pretty well received all-around.

Series will be eight episodes, starts filming next month, and the entire original writing/producing trio of Thomas, Ruggiero-Wright, and Etheridge is returning

If iZombie is any indication Thomas and Ruggiero-Wright haven't lost a beat when it comes to this kind of storytelling.
