This may not even be the worst of them, either.

I don't know if you've seen it, but it's actually not a self-serious movie about deafness. Lots of humor and conflicting emotions and plenty of 80s-era young people, so the banner isn't quite as silly for it as you might thinkThe Narrator Returns wrote:This may not even be the worst of them, either.

Oh, I thought the title was familiar. Oh my god.domino harvey wrote:If you've never owned one of these editions, they came with CDs. What music best accompanies a rape?
No, why would they do that?

Forgive if this was brought up but just in case.
Yeah, if you were annoyed by the constant comparisons between The Hunger Games and Battle Royale, this adds fuel to the fire.

Ick. Is that Arrow putting that out?
Hunger Games reminded me more of Stephen King's "The Long Walk."

I would've enjoyed The Hunger Games more if it had sections involving the logistics of pooping during the games.rspaight wrote:Hunger Games reminded me more of Stephen King's "The Long Walk."

I think it's Viz Media's doing, they release stuff there in the UK as well to my knowledge at least.rspaight wrote:Ick. Is that Arrow putting that out?

Nope, it's an Arrow release.Movie-Brat wrote:I think it's Viz Media's doing, they release stuff there in the UK as well to my knowledge at least.rspaight wrote:Ick. Is that Arrow putting that out?
I think it brings Arrow's total of releasing it to 8.

I can really imagine the masses who liked The Hunger Games saying, "Oh, I love THG, so I should buy more movies about children fighting each other to the death. It's a can't-miss premise!"
Use of Bank Gothic font just like THG seals the deal.

Bland and boring is how I describe that cover. Julia Roberts looks kind of like a Sandra Bullock clone for some reason though.

That looks like a lovely genteel dinner party where everyone seems so understanding of each other! I can't wait to watch this for a relaxing evening in front of a quiet, low-key movie!

Judging from the RCA/Columbia credit on the back, I'm guessing that's a photoshop based off the VHS release. I think the rights to that film are solely held by WWE at this point (and if they haven't released it on blu ray yet, they should!).

Holy cow! I probably saw that I dozen times as a ten year old, but I had completely forgotten about Kurt Fuller and Joan Severance being in it. That double billing should make it worth the price of admittance alone. Looking back on it now, the only material that distinctly stand out is the *sigh* "dookie" scene and the final bodyslam at the end. However, the cover also reminds me that the younger brother spends some time in a traction neck brace presumably due to a beatdown at the hands of Zeus!

So was Hulk convincing in a role described as "strong but sensitive"?

The funny thing about the new artwork is that up close you can clearly see they did some Photoshop, giving Hulk quite a bit more hair.

Even easier to spot this as a custom cover : there is no barcode on the back cover (and also no specs about video resolution or whatever, but I've seen covers without them so why not).CSM126 wrote:Judging from the RCA/Columbia credit on the back, I'm guessing that's a photoshop based off the VHS release. I saw it at Best Buy over the weekend, despite the release date being tomorrow. $7.99. You know you want to get it, even if the cover isn't anywhere near as good as that fake one.

If anyone's curious, How Did This Get Made? just released an episode about it (and made it sound delightfully bonkers)

The addition of the two matches which weren't on the previous DVD guarantees that my brother will likely double-dip this.cdnchris wrote:I saw it at Best Buy over the weekend, despite the release date being tomorrow. $7.99.
