New post on Milestone's Facebook page makes me think they've received a new shipment of Polish sets:

Film and Notfilm are coming out on separate Blu-ray editions on March 7.

Really hoping to hear some news about Maborosi, The Dumb Girl of Portici, and Rocco and His Brothers soon!

What makes you think that? Looks like there are still well over 200 left. Also 11 copies of Vol. 1 and 47 of Vol. 2.

The browsers I tried weren't cooperating, now they are.

(They said "Some products became unavailable and your cart has been updated. We're sorry for the inconvenience." After I'd placed it in the cart and tried to proceed. It also said Sold out.)

Order placed... And shipped.

So...how quickly do these box sets sell out? Or, to put it another way, how much time do I have to dither over dropping $150 on this latest volume?

The last two both sold out within a day. This one's been on sale for less than 3 hours and is already one-third sold out.

Here's the deal. In Volume 3, a few films are owned by Criterion. Our friends at Criterion were ENORMOUSLY kind enough to agree to permit the sale of the box set in the United States as complete. The agreement was for 300 box sets which was very generous of them. So we have more than usual in stock (remember, initially the first box set was only 90 because Poland didn't think we could sell more than that and there were only 150 of Volume 2!), but we were able to get more copies of the first two volumes every now and then. This is definitely it for Volume 3.

I bit the bullet and ordered. Hopefully the upgrades of Ashes and Diamonds and Knife in the Water will be worth it! (I already have the Criterion version of A Short Film...)

I'm not familiar with the other films in the set other than Blind Chance, which I've never seen; can anyone speak to these?

I don't know if Mother Joan of the Angels is quite worth the cost of the set on its own, but it's up there.

Yeah, if I had money I'd be buying this set today despite only being interested in two titles.

So the $6 shipping option from last time is gone? Domestic shipping options now appear to be $17.82 and up.

Media mail should be possible and Priority Mail should be a lot less than $17.82.

My cheapest option listed was also $17.82, much to my dismay. I would much rather do Media Mail.

I'd thought about going media mail this time, but there was no option for it this morning.

Edit: I started with Firefox, then Opera (both gave me the Sold Out stuff), then when I got to Safari it was working again. (Except for the media mail option.) Never made it to Chromium/Chrome. (Just saying, don't really mind.)

Amy says that there are a lot of Media Mail orders, so you might want to try another browser.

To Kill This Love is great, a grainy 70s downer about doomed young love. Saw it in a double feature with Mother Joan & loved them both.

No luck in Safari or Chrome, checking out via PayPal. Priority shipping cost is listed as $18.75.

I'm working on it right now with Shopify.

If we ordered right away so we wouldn't miss it, is there anyway you could change our shipping option to a cheaper one? 8-[

Try it now. I changed the weight from ounces to pounds and it seems to work when I tested it. Unfortunately, Shopify sends everything to Shipping Easy and everything is pretty automatic now.
