My guess is that that it will have the same features as the very good DVD Studio Canal put out a few years ago. In other words, no FILMING THE TRIAL, but a stills gallery, a theatrical trailer, the doc "Welles, Kafka and the Trial" (30 minutes) and an interview with DP Edmond Richard, called "Orson Welles, Architect of Light" (23 minutes).

FILMING THE TRIAL was "finished" and presented by the Munich Filmmuseum (via Oja Kodar) so the rights belong to them/her, I believe. It's possible that the footage could be licensed to Studio Canal, but when it comes to Welles...?
Edition Filmmuseum have long been working on an "Unknown Orson Welles" set that will presumably include this film. Don't hold your breath, though: it's been forthcoming as long as I've been checking their site.

So what is everyone doing with the old 'flawed' discs? I'm having a hard time giving them away to anyone...

I still haven't received mine in the U.S. As Studio Canal isn't responding to emails, I have no idea what the status of my replacement copy is.

A couple of post at the AV Maniacs forum might shed a little light on why you haven't received a replacement

StudioCanal has confirmed that Le quai des brumes will be part of the Collection. It might be a good idea to pre-order it from Amazon while it's still only ten pounds.

Looks an even bigger bargain now after snatching it with that sweet HMV discount code and cashback.

Blu-ray.com reviews "Total Recall". has all the US blu-ray extras, adds a German commentary and 2 French featurettes as well. (but the French featurettes have no subtitles)

Since StudioCanal is the one who owns the film I assume they're the ones responsible for the new transfer and special features? I hope Terimnator 2 gets similar treatment, now that (reportedly remastered) The Terminator is coming out.

But if you think about it, for many Blurays and DVD, the main feature is subtitled in many languages, while the extras have no subtitles. I'm glad I speak English, as a lot of Japanese releases by MGM or Fox recently, have no Japanese subtitles for the extras.

Chinese speakers have it a lot worse, where a lot of titles may have Chinese subs on the main feature, but it's a gamble whether the extras have them or not.

César and Rosalie, Forbidden Games and Casque d'Or are probably going to join the Studio Canal Collection in November.

Discreet Charm review at Blu-ray.com, the barest of all recent Studio Canal discs.

It's also the cheapest. It should be noted it's not part of their Classics range; it comes in a normal Amaray case.

Was on the verge of ordering Hal Ashby's The Landlord DVDR from MGM when noticed StudioCanal has a UK DVD set for October. It went through the BBFC yesterday and is on Amazon.
