Re: Kino Lorber Studio Classics Acquisitions
We're not here for arguments and won't take the baits.
The main difference between Universal's all region UK release of THE INTERPRETER and BARTON FINK - they have worldwide rights for THE INTERPRETER and don't have USA and Canada for BARTON FINK, which are with Fox. The Universal UK release should've been region B and C, but we doubt there was anything malicious behind it, they're used to releasing their discs region free and didn't realize they didn't have the North American rights to BF.

We didn't share the announcements of KAZAAM and IT'S PAT: THE MOVIE here. But we think there are some fans that want to hear about all our releases.domino harvey wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:20 amI actually hope he starts posting all of Kino Lorber's upcoming releases and but just those titles he thinks this board would be interested in. I mean, I can't fault his reasoning, but Kino rep, you'd be surprised at what some people here would be into!

I've never done any random speculation regarding the Disney acquisitions, but has there been any talk about Dead Presidents? Would Criterion be up for letting go of their special features for the film? There's no way they'd release that film in this era. Seems right up Kino's alley.

Are we sure that Mr.Lime and Kino Lorber Insider are different people? I thought it was the same person who just changed their username.

Mr. Lime was some guy who went off to do other things. KLI is the replacement.

Kino Insider does not have Mister Lime's insanely thin skin and hair trigger temper. Give him/her a break.

I too hope you will share these announcements here too ! In the worst case, members will joke about the movies or the priorisation of these movies over others, but as domino wrote, some here could still be interested at least in having the info directly here.Kino Insider wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 5:45 pmWe didn't share the announcements of KAZAAM and IT'S PAT: THE MOVIE here. Plus, it'll probably be quicker and easier for you not to filter anything but share the same info everywhere.

Oh exciting! Love Altman and actually do like this one. His contempt for the subject matter makes it quite enjoyable to watch even if it is not his finest work.Kino Insider wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 3:19 pmComing Soon on Blu-ray!

Re: Kino Lorber Studio Classics Acquisitions
Leads me to wonder: are they simply not licensing it at all, or did some other label already snag it? This isn’t the right thread, I know, but I’d like to think Criterion would reissue it (their ld edition was great).Kino Insider wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 3:20 pmWe asked for it, but it wasn't available for licensing. The Elegant Dandy Fop wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 11:57 pmI've never done any random speculation regarding the Disney acquisitions, but has there been any talk about Dead Presidents? Re: Kino Lorber Studio Classics Acquisitions
I seriously cannot fathom Criterion releasing that film in this day in age. Has they're been rumors that they've acquired any other Disney titles? Is their any other label that licenses from Disney?

Re: Kino Lorber Studio Classics Acquisitions
They were not interested in licensing it to anyone. They may eventually change their minds, but this was what we were told the last time we asked for DP and some other titles.CSM126 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 19, 2018 8:52 amLeads me to wonder: are they simply not licensing it at all, or did some other label already snag it?
